Still Life Drawing - Self directed, free form monthly drawing sessions

  • The Windsor Workshop 1 Brenchley Place Prahran, VIC, 3181 Australia (map)

Bree, Sarah and I fell in love with Still Life / Life Drawing during those covid years (you know. the ones you’d rather we didn’t mention again?).  We fell in love with them *so much* that we have decided to offer a self directed, free form session every month.  The first Thursday of every month, you can book yourself into a Still Life, Life Drawing session at The Windsor Workshop from 7 - 8:30pm.  Each month will alternate between a Still Life Drawing session and a Life Drawing session.  Your ticket will include still life objects, or the model, plus paper, pencils, charcoal and pastels for you to use (feel free to BYO if you’d prefer).  Glass of wine will be yours, too ;) We love the idea of keeping this self led, unguided and yours to make of it what you will.  Come once, or come to all sessions - we promise you will become as addicted as we are and possibly make some drawing buddies along the way too.  Love this for 2023…

Schedule for Life VS Still will be as follows:

Thursday 2 March - Life Drawing

Thursday 6 April - Still Life

Thursday 4 May - Life Drawing

Thursday 1 June - Still Life

Thursday 6 July - Life Drawing

Thursday 3 August - Still Life

Thursday 7 September - Life Drawing

Thursday 5 October - Still Life

Thursday 2 November - Life Drawing

Over a fun filled, un-tutored session, you will learn…

  • Time spent creating mindful moments will indeed improve your life! Creativity is the gateway to freedom

  • Attending and practising a consistent art practice will make you more desirable…

  • That we are hell bent on creating an art loving community to help us stay connected

What You Get

  • Paper, pencils, charcoal and oil pastels to use on the night

  • Still Life objects or a model to draw

  • Timed sessions to work to (or not work to)

  • An opportunity to connect with arty crafty types

  • A glass of vino to soften the edges…

Check out some reviews from the last Sarah Hankinson workshop

“The watercolour and gold foil botanicals workshop was the first windsor workshop i attended and it was amazing. Very well organised, the artists were great at passing on their knowledge and helping out during the session. The food, teas and drinks were very tasty. Overall a fantastic way to spend a raining Sunday morning. The only issue was that it left a taste for more ;-)”

— Stefanie

“My friend and I loved this class! Lovely surroundings, great teachers and a fun atmosphere. I feel confident now to start using watercolour at home. Would love to do a class at The Windsor Workshop again.”

— Melissa

“I had the best time! Thanks so much for a fun & informative workshop! I learnt so much & look forward to practising more at home. Loved the snacks too!”
