Join this botanical fragrance and design experience this autumn at the Windsor Workshop.
The workshop is an immersive, creative experience with hands-on, practical perfumery techniques and modern design principles using native floral and plant essences.
Caroline will demonstrate a modern botanical perfumery style developed from working with the beauty, therapeutics and energy of pure and natural botanicals to help you connect with your inner creativity.
In this workshop: You’ll gain knowledge of perfumery principles, empowering yourself with the foundational tools, processes and skills you need to craft your own botanical perfume. We’ll learn about perfume histories, and mindfully smell through and evaluate a curated selection of native essential oils and absolutes to understand their role in fragrance formulation.
Get inspired by the special character and complex scent profiles of natural essences, discover how to elevate them within a formulation, and take home your own botanical eau de parfum creation!
ABOUT:
Dr Caroline McMillan is a perfumer, sensory design & technology researcher, CBD aromatherapist, cosmetic scientist and writer.
Caroline has over two decades of design and product development experience in physical/digital product development working for global fashion brands, trend forecasting agencies and has studied the art of luxury haute couture techniques in the métiers of Paris. She’s been nose-deep in the sense of smell in research, art, experience design, aromatherapy, performance and neurotechnology for over 5 years. She’s passionate about sharing her knowledge about fragrance creation inspired by a love of natural essences.
Important Info
The Windsor Workshop is located at 1 Brenchley Place, Prahran – almost at the intersection of Greville Street and Porter Street.
Access by train (Sandringham Line) to Prahran Station (we are a 1 – 2 minute walk from Prahran Station depending on your stride)
Access by trams High Street (Number 6 line), Chapel Street (Number 78 line) or Commercial Road (Number 72 line)
If you are driving, there are lots of 2 hour parking spots in the area, otherwise you can use the Prahran Square parking which is a 3 min walk away. Entry is via 30 – 40 Izett Street, Prahran.
Our workshops are suitable for persons 16 years or older. Give us a shout if you are thinking of bringing a young person and we can let you know if we can make it work!
