Hand Make a Ceramic Vase with Daisy Cooper - Mothers Day Edition

  • The Windsor Workshop 1 Brenchley Place Prahran, VIC, 3181 Australia (map)

Come and spend a slow Saturday morning with us, setting the tone for your weekend, creating a ceramic vase or planter with Daisy Cooper. This workshop is a slightly different offering - shorter in duration, allowing time to concentrate your energies on one simple piece. Daisy will guide you through the process to make a vase or planter and then you will choose from Daisy’s glazes to complete this unique piece. Perfect Friday morning or Christmas catch up with a friend or family member.

Daisy Cooper’s hand built ceramic wares are reminiscent of times gone by - of a slower life where afternoons were spent meandering along the riverbank, gazing up at the native greenery, or of nights spent staring at the sparkly dust of the milky way.  After all, this is where Daisy gathers her inspiration for her much sought after range of hand made ceramics - growing up in rural Scotland, has kindly delivered such vivid memories, evident in her ‘river like’ glazes and speckly white plates seen the world over (Jamie Oliver has used Daisy’s work in his Food Revolution series - yes, Jamie Oliver!).

Over a crossaint and coffee sipping morning you will learn…

  • The fundamentals of hand building a ceramic planter / vase

  • Techniques such as pinching and coiling

What You Get

  • All the clay you need to create a sample pinch pot and a magnificent vase or planter

  • A choice of Daisy’s glazes to create the perfect finish to your wares

  • You will be treated to delicious pastries / coffee / tea to feed your creative energies
